Steve Hafif is the CEO of Cypris, an AI-powered market intelligence platform designed to support global R&D and innovation teams. With his extensive background in the field, Steve brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role. Prior to leading Cypris, he served on PECO's Innovation team, a division of Exelon, where he played a key role in remodeling their internal innovation data management systems. Steve holds a degree in data analytics from Drexel University, providing him with a strong foundation in leveraging data-driven insights to guide strategic decision-making. With his visionary leadership, Steve is dedicated to empowering organizations with the tools and intelligence they need to excel in today's fast-paced and competitive business landscape.


Dr. Cartmell is the Senior Director of Intellectual Property and Grants at MTF Biologics, a leading global nonprofit organization that saves and heals lives by honoring donated gifts, serving patients, and advancing science. Dr. Cartmell earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester, a M.S. in Bioengineering from the Pennsylvania State University, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University where his research focused on novel methods for the use of Patellar Tendon Allografts in Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction. Following his Ph.D., Dr. Cartmell served as an NIH Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Since 2003, Dr. Cartmell has held varying technical, scientific, and leadership positions in MTF Biologics’ R&D group with a focus on innovative allograft technologies and intellectual property. He currently manages the MTF Biologics Intellectual Property portfolio and Grant Program.
